What “GLP-1 friendly” means
There's no federal definition. Each brand that uses the label decides what it means, so the label tells you the brand chose to use it, and the brand's own criteria tell you the rest.

No federal definition
- No federal agency defines “GLP-1 friendly”. Bloomberg Law reported in July 2026 that there is no established federal definition, and the FDA has not defined it.
- A University of Arkansas extension article (March 2026) puts it plainly: “‘GLP1 friendly’ is not a standardized or regulated nutrition claim.”
- Each brand sets its own criteria. Some publish them; some don't.
- USDA reviews the labels on meat and poultry products before they're sold. Conagra said, per Food Dive, that USDA reviewed and approved the Healthy Choice meals that carry its badge. Label approval covers the wording on the package; it isn't a rating of the food.

How we use it
On LilNom, “GLP-1 friendly” appears only as a chain's or brand's own label, quoted and linked. We don't apply it ourselves. Orders that people on GLP-1 medications shared are listed as real orders, with a link to where they said it, and aren't called GLP-1 friendly. Neither is a health rating. Details: editorial policy.
